The tech ran a line from thermostat to a transformer that plugs into my wall for the princely sum of $120 additional. This is not internal wiring, mind you; essentially, it's just a very, very expensive plug. Had I know what I'd get for this cost, I'd have called an electrician and had a C wire run internally
